PE Update

It's been a very busy period in PE with badminton, fitness and basketball at capacity every week. Rugby club is continuing with Chiswick Rugby Club coaches. A new cohort has started rowing which is fantastic to see. Boys and girls football have been working hard at training which has paid off with results on the pitch. Each netball team has also secured convincing wins in their respective leagues.

The senior girls football team won the Hounslow football rally, beating eight teams on their way to winning the competition without conceding a single goal. Alongside this, the U14 girls have progressed into the second round of Middlesex cup with a 9-0 win.

The Year 7 boys football team (pictured) started brightly with a dominant 12-1 win vs Brentside.

The Year 9 boys have progressed in both the Middlesex and English schools cup competitions with wins against St Marks, Brentside, JFS and Heathlands.

The Year 10 boys football team have progressed through to the 4th round of the national cup after beating Richard Challoner School 5-4 in an impressive comeback win.

In basketball the Year 7 boys team lost narrowly to Isleworth And Syon School 13-12 in their first game of the season with many more games planned.

In netball, the senior girls have won their first game convincingly against Bolder School 14-5. This was followed up by Year 8 with a 6-5 win against the same opposition. The Year 10 girls beat Gumley 16-2 and the Year 9s drew their first game against Bolder.

In cross country we had a very healthy showing of 12 runners across several age groups with six securing qualification to run for Hounslow in the county cross country championships with Ava O winning her event, despite being a year younger than the majority of her competition.

Coming up we have badminton competitions, indoor athletics and more basketball, netball and football fixtures with several teams still in the Middlesex and national cup competitions.
