School Council Student Voice

This week members from the School Council delivered assemblies to all year groups. Students focused on ‘Student Voice’ explaining to students what it is and how powerful their voices are.

"Student voice involves students actively participating in their schools, communities and the education system, contributing to decision-making processes and collectively influencing outcomes by putting forward their views, concerns and ideas.”

Members from the school council also looked back at some of the different initiatives they have been involved with over the years from:

  • Raising just under £1000 for the charity, MIND.
  • Launching Teacher Appreciation Day.
  • Arranging food donations to the Food Box in Brentford.
  • Donating £200 to the RNLI, Help the Heroes and the Food Box.
  • Volunteering at Chiswick House Dog Show.

School Council members have also participated in a Knife Crime Workshop which was led by Fatima, our Deputy Leader of the Hounslow Youth Parliament.

We are really proud of the work carried out by our School Council.

Well done to Tom 12HA, Fowsia 11KE, Fatima 11HA, Sarah 10PA, Ruby 10HA, Daniel 9HA, Mary 8KE and Suhaam 8GR for delivering this week’s assemblies. Very impressive!
