It was such a joy to welcome back the Year 11s on 3rd July for their Leavers’ Assembly and Prom.
The day began with shirt signing, and it was sweet to see the early arrivals nervously asking if they were “allowed to start”! (Absolutely!) Before long, the majority of the year group had arrived, shirts were filling up with signatures and messages, and Sharpies were starting to run out.
We then headed into the hall for the Leavers’ Assembly, which was a heartwarming and memorable event filled with laughter, reflection, and more than a few tears—from both students and staff. It was a wonderful moment to come together and celebrate five years of growth, friendships, and achievements.
Highlights included a game of ‘Baby Photo Guess Who’, a montage of photos from across the years, and the touching farewell speeches from form tutors, some of whom had been with their groups since Year 7.
The students then walked out through a tunnel of Year 7s holding balloons, cheering them on and wishing them good luck —a surreal but beautiful moment. As always, the students most eager to finish school were the last to leave after some emotional goodbyes. We will really miss you too.
That evening, the students returned for Prom, ready to party! Having attended the last four, I can confidently say I’ve never seen the dance floor so busy—from 7:30pm right until close. The students brought amazing energy, and they all looked absolutely stunning and so grown up, with their personalities shining through in their outfit choices.
While it felt almost impossible to choose a ‘Best Dressed’, it’s a firm Chiswick tradition. This year’s winners were Zainab H and Jacob J, with Ebhoney L and Josh C close behind.
Students also voted throughout the day for Prom King and Queen, and this year’s crowns (metaphorical, of course!) went to Zaryab K and Chloe S-H, who took to the dance floor and nailed the customary King–Queen dance in style.
Class of 2025, you’ve truly left your mark—not just on the school, but on your teachers too. For those not returning for Sixth Form, you will be sorely missed, and we’d love to hear how your journeys unfold.
Until we see you on Results Day—goodbye and good luck!
