Ski Trip 2025 Masella, Spain

February half term saw 12 members of staff and two coaches of excited students set off for the first ski trip the school has taken since 2020.

Usually, we have taken around 50 students on previous ski trips but interest was high and we increased that number! Fortunately, we were offered a lovely resort in the Spanish Pyrenees, a country we had never skied in before and which proved perfect for all ski abilities.

The 25 hour coach journey passed without a hitch and students (though not sure about staff!), were fresh as daisies when we arrived at the resort on Sunday morning.

We were delighted on all accounts; the slopes, ski fit and medi centre were fewer than 100m away. Result! No coaches to the slopes, just a short amble every day. Another bonus was the weather! Beautiful sunshine and cloudless skies for all but the last day.

The skiing conditions were perfect for all abilities with 2 vast mountain ranges to cover.

Evening entertainment included bowling, skating, dancing and watching important football match games!

The students were amazing - an absolute pleasure to be with. They skied and played hard every day making the most of this incredible opportunity, and mastered so many skills across the week. Watching absolute beginners and intermediates ski from the top of the mountain by the end of the week, alongside our expert skiers, was a total joy.

Bring on Masella 2026!
