- History Club: Building Pyramids, Uncover...
This half-term, our historians, supported by four exemplary sixth form students reading History, explored Ancient Egypt, learned little- known facts about civilisation, explored theories, and separated myth from fact. They researched and presented on pharaohs, building essential historical and soft skills. Our cohort of 49 students honed their ability to work in teams in an attempt to build their own pyramid from sugar cubes - a lesson in how challenging this feat of engineering would have been to accomplish 4,500 years ago!
Next half-term, our historians will work with Chiswick House and the Lyric Theatre to research, write, direct, and produce a one-off play about local Black histories, to be performed and professionally filmed at Chiswick House; family and friends are warmly invited to attend.
