Excellent results reinforce Chiswick School’s position as a high-performing, inclusive Sixth Form

Students at Chiswick School are celebrating a fantastic set of results today, reflecting both the academic excellence and genuinely inclusive ethos of the Sixth Form.

There were exceptional performances across a wide range of subjects.

More than 70% of students studying Maths, English Literature, History, Politics, Philosophy or Sociology secured grades between A and B. Creative subjects also thrived with 77% of A Level Art students achieving an impressive A or A*.

Results across the Sixth Form were equally impressive. More than 30% of all grades were awarded at A* or A. Early indications suggest that Chiswick School’s results have once again exceeded national averages, continuing the Sixth Form’s record of strong academic performance. As one of the area’s largest and most inclusive post-16 provisions, Chiswick School’s Sixth Form continues to grow in both size and reputation.

Students are now preparing for an exciting range of next steps. Chiswick School students have secured places at Russell Group universities across the country, including Oxford and Cambridge, alongside places on highly competitive Medicine courses and a wide range of other prestigious university or Arts programmes.

These results are a testament to the ambition and hard work of Chiswick School students, the expertise and commitment of staff, and the Sixth Form’s determination to ensure that every young person, regardless of their starting point or background, has the opportunity to achieve highly and progress to an ambitious destination.

Head of Sixth Form, Christian Williams, stated, “What makes these results special isn’t just how strong they are, but who is succeeding. Our students have shown that academic excellence and genuine inclusion should go hand in hand. I’m incredibly proud of what they have achieved, but even more excited about where they go from here. Whether that is Oxford or Cambridge, Medicine, an apprenticeship or another ambitious next step, these results open doors – and that is ultimately what a great Sixth Form should do.

Headteacher Laura Ellener added "I am immensely proud of our students and staff today. At Chiswick School, every young person is given the opportunity to excel, and we are thrilled that in contrast to national trends our SEND and disadvantaged students perform on par with all their peers. That level of equality and achievement is what true success looks like."
