This year was a whirlwind of unforgettable events and spectacular fundraising successes. Thank you so so much to our phenomenal site team, amazing parents, dedicated reps, fantastic committee members, tireless volunteers, and brilliant teachers and leaders.
May, June, and July Car Boot Sales
Rain or shine, our Car Boot Sales opened as usual and with record numbers of visitors, both selling and buying. We raised a phenomenal £33,000 across the three car boot sales so far this term, which will have such a huge impact on what the PTA is able to support next year.
Our next sale is on August 2nd. We REALLY need extra hands for this one, so if you've ever thought about helping, now is the moment! New parents are especially welcome - as are friends, neighbours, family … Ping us an email at pta@chiswickschool.org if you can help. PTA Refreshments:
This term, we have been incredibly busy providing refreshments for a huge range of Music, Performing Arts, Sports and Art events, from small bars for Art and Music in the canteen, Sports Day, the Summer Concert at St Nicholas’ Church, the HUGE outside Summer Festival - with a record turn out this year - and of course the fantastic school musical, Seussical, and all the awards events!! Our refreshments have raised an extraordinary amount of money - almost £13,000 this year - with every penny going directly to the department linked to the event: PTA, Performing Arts, Music, Art and PE departments. They all make such a meaningful contribution to building our school community, and bringing our families together.
The Summer Festival: A Record-Breaking Celebration!
We had a record turnout this year, and it was nothing short of spectacular. A huge thank you to everyone who made this all-school community event such a resounding success. From the talented students and staff who played and sang, to those who ran activities and games; to all who contributed to the Art Exhibition; History Stall, and the HAY entrepreneurs: your enthusiasm and creativity were exceptional.
Our heartfelt thanks extend to those who ran activities, helped at the bar, organised the tombola, donated prizes for the tombola, and managed the kids’ activities. It truly was a massive group effort, and every bit of it contributed to the festival's success.
We had exceptional prizes from Annie’s; The Duck and Ball (who also loaned us staging); Rachel Stagg’s Aesthetics; Mum’s Wholefoods Kew; Richmond Hockey Club; The Bulls Head; Golf Box, and more. Special thanks to our event sponsors, Whitman and Co, for supporting the night.
