Year 8 Discover Art, Religion and Philosophy at the V&A

It was wonderful to see so many Year 8 students engaged in a day of learning at the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A).

In June, the Religion and Philosophy Department took all Year 8 students to the V&A to enrich their learning as part of their Religion, Philosophy and Creativity unit, which they have been studying during the final part of the school year.

The students were a credit to the school throughout the visit. They explored the famous Ardabil Carpet, admired a wide range of Dharmic and Christian artworks, including stunning stained glass windows, and gained a deeper understanding of how faith and creativity are connected across different cultures and traditions.

Many students also produced excellent sketches of mudras, demonstrating both their observational skills and their engagement with the exhibits. It was an inspiring day that brought classroom learning to life.
