CHISWICK CAR BOOT SALE

Thank you so much to all of the volunteers who supported the first of the Spring sales, in March. The forecast was once again poor, which meant disappointingly low numbers - even with a visiting brass band!! Fingers crossed for sunshine in April! Despite the lower-than-usual seller numbers, we had a great number of buyers and still managed to raise just over £4600.

PTA QUIZ NIGHT

Thank you so much to everyone who supported this year’s Quiz Night!!

Tickets included a delicious two course meal, with two curries, naan and chutneys, followed by a selection of baked goodies, cooked by our wonderful school chef Tom.

We kicked off the evening with a speedy game of Heads and Tails, with incredible prizes: dinner for two at The Crown and Anchor, and a two week membership for David Lloyd!!

Our Quizmaster, Y7 and 9 parent Rich, returned for the second year running with a Quiz which balanced popular culture, sports knowledge, emojis and more.

The winning team was the smallest of all the teams - but the mightiest! You may notice some familiar faces from last year’s winners too - congratulations to them all. They received a hamper full of goodies, including two generous vouchers for Wylde, and day passes for the Everlast gym!

THANK YOU SO MUCH TO THE INCREDIBLY GENEROUS INDIVIDUALS AND BUSINESSES WHO DONATED THE MOST PHENOMENAL PRIZES!

This year, the prizes were knock-out: 2 x £50 Wylde vouchers; 2 x guest passes from Everlast gym; a 2 course meal for 2 people with a bottle of house wine at the Crown & Anchor on Chiswick High Road; 2 week family membership at David Lloyd, Acton; Rachel Stagg’s vouchers for body balancer lymphatic drainage compression massage and LED infrared light session AND a hamper of prizes - including champagne and edible treats!

Special thanks to Y7 parent Sara who led on sourcing the prizes - they were extremely well received; to the Sixth form helpers for keeping score; to Nathan in IT; the Music Department; the PA department; Jo Duddy and everyone who supported!

PERFORMING ARTS AND MUSIC BARS

Thank you so much to everyone who supported the SEVEN packed Music and PA event bars this half term. We were especially delighted to host last weekend’s bar for Carmina Burana, joined by WLFS and Fulham Boys school.

This half term (and with one event to go at the time of writing) we have raised an £5200 from the seven events, We had a huge number of volunteers setting up and selling refreshments and we are so grateful to you all! PTA BIDS’ MEETING MINUTES

WEDNESDAY 4th MARCH

On the 4th March, we hosted this term’s bids’ meeting, where parents, teachers, governors and school leaders met to discuss and vote on bids received for PTA funds (predominantly raised by the Car Boot sales). Thank you so much to the 15 parents and leaders who attended, online and in person. Minutes are available on the school website. Everyone present was really excited by the range of unique and well resaerched bids - from distillation plates to robotics to geography and music trips abroad!
