Chiswick School praised by Education Secretary for Outstanding Outcomes for Disadvantaged Pupils

Chiswick School has been praised by the Secretary of State for Education, Bridget Phillipson, for achieving exceptional outcomes for disadvantaged pupils at the end of the 2024/25 academic year.

In a letter to the school’s leadership, the Secretary of State congratulated Headteacher Laura Ellener and her team on their outstanding performance, noting that the school’s results place it “among the very best nationally.” Ms Phillipson highlighted the dedication of staff and the hard work of pupils as key factors behind the success, stating that the achievements demonstrate “what can be achieved when ambition and commitment come together.”

The Secretary of State also praised Chiswick School’s role as a potential system leader and encouraged the school to share its successful approaches with others across the education sector. She urged the school to continue leading the way through collaboration, professional networks, and partnership working.

She added: “Your school’s achievements demonstrate what is possible. Even the strongest schools can go further. We encourage you to lead the way as a system leader.”
