- A Day of Inspiration for Our Students!
Recently, we had the privilege of welcoming two incredible guest speakers to our criminology class—Tolu, a senior youth justice practitioner, and her friend Kenisha, a dedicated probation officer. Their insights into their respective roles provided our students with a deeper understanding of the realities of working in the field.
Tolu shared her experiences in youth justice, while Kenisha offered valuable perspectives on probation work. Together, they emphasized the importance of volunteering and gaining real-world experience early in one’s career, highlighting how these opportunities can shape future professionals.
We believe that learning goes beyond textbooks and lectures, and today’s event demonstrated the impact of connecting with professionals in the field. As the saying goes, it’s not just about what you know, but who you know—and we are grateful to have such inspirational role models in our community.
Thank you, Tolu and Kenisha, for enriching our students' learning experience and for your dedication to making a difference in the lives of young people!
