- Raising Awareness and Promoting Respect...
On 25th November, our school marked White Ribbon Day by selling ribbons to raise awareness of the campaign and its vital message. Staff and students showed their support by wearing and purchasing white ribbons, with many sold throughout the day to help promote the cause and demonstrate our community’s commitment.
White Ribbon Day is an international initiative focused on ending violence against women and girls. The campaign encourages individuals—especially men and boys—to take a stand, challenge harmful attitudes, and promote respectful, positive behaviour.
In school, the day served as an important reminder of the role we all play in creating a safe and respectful environment. In PSHCE lessons, students are regularly reminded of the importance of calling out inappropriate behaviour, supporting equality, and understanding how everyday actions can contribute to wider cultural change.
We are proud of the maturity and engagement shown by our students and will continue to promote the values of respect, kindness, and equality throughout the year.
A huge thank you to Lara in Year 7, who made it her mission to sell as many ribbons as possible. Together, we raised £300, which is a fantastic achievement.
