Mrs Ellener was invited to be part of a panel at an inspiring evening event at Reach Academy Feltham for the Hounslow Youth Provision event, organised by the Reach Foundation. The gathering brought together youth providers, leaders, and community representatives to explore how the borough can further strengthen and enhance its youth support.
The event opened with a powerful and thought- provoking speech by Rebecca Cramer, setting a reflective and purposeful tone for the discussions that followed. Mrs Ellener was honoured to sit alongside Gareth Dixon (Young Hammersmith & Fulham Foundation), Ben Kahn (Spiral Skills), Garvin Snell (RE- ENGAGE), and Phillip Worthington (Onside Youth Zones). These inspiring individuals are leading exceptional work in support of young people across London.
During the panel, Mrs Ellener shared insights from Chiswick School and highlighted the invaluable contribution of the Hogarth Youth Club, which continues, often in challenging financial circumstances, to provide a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment for many young people within the community.
The true stars of the evening were the young people who facilitated the event with notable confidence, clarity, and passion. Their leadership, empathy, and creativity embodied the qualities that schools and youth organisations strive to nurture.
The evening reinforced several key themes: the importance of collaboration, the need for equitable opportunities, and the urgent requirement for sustained investment in youth provision across Hounslow.
