Children in Need – A Fantastic Day of Fun and Fundraising

Our school came together in style for this year’s Children in Need fundraising day, and what a fantastic day it was! The event was led by our new Student Leadership Team, who organised every aspect of the day, including hand-making all the promotional posters. Their energy, creativity, and dedication were clear in every detail and helped make the day such a huge success.

Pupils and staff joined in the fun by coming to school in their PJs with a £1 donation, creating a relaxed, joyful, and community-focused atmosphere. The day was packed with exciting activities, from the hugely popular Sponge the Teacher organised and led by Cordelia Findley in year 7, which alone raised over £100, to a basketball shoot-out, a raffle, and a delicious bake sale. On top of this, we also collected donations of old children’s clothes, filling over ten bags for those in need —a brilliant addition to the day’s fundraising efforts.

Even learning got a special twist, as CTLs adapted lessons to incorporate “Challenge 25”, this year’s Children in Need theme, giving pupils a chance to engage with the cause in a meaningful and creative way.

Thanks to the incredible effort of our Student Leadership Team, the generosity of pupils, staff, and parents, and everyone who got involved, we are thrilled to announce that we raised over £700 for Children in Need—a brilliant achievement that will make a real difference!
