Year 12 Padel Reward Trip

On Wednesday 8th October, a select group of Year 12 students were rewarded with an exciting trip to Wandsworth Padel, recognising their outstanding attitude to learning, excellent attendance, and exceptional number of praise points this term. These students have consistently demonstrated dedication, positivity, and a commitment to the school community, qualities that serve as an example to their peers.

The group included Sara R, Mikael S, Alya N, Alex L, Bartek W, Alexandra O, Jessica W, May S, Charlie S, and Christian N. These Year 12s took part in an hour-long coaching session led by professional instructors. None of the students had played padel before, but they quickly adapted to the fast-paced and strategic nature of the sport. Their teamwork, communication, and encouragement of one another made for a brilliant atmosphere throughout the morning.

A special commendation goes to Alex L, who, despite carrying a knee injury, impressed everyone with his natural skill and determination on court. His performance highlighted the resilience and spirit that characterise our Sixth Form students.

The trip not only provided a well-deserved reward but also encouraged students to try something new, build teamwork skills, and enjoy a healthy, active morning outside the classroom.

We are incredibly proud of the students’ achievements and look forward to offering more opportunities like this across the academic year to celebrate hard work, commitment, and contribution to the school community.
