A group of 73 enthusiastic students took part in their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) practice expedition, showing impressive determination, teamwork, and perseverance over the two-day challenge.
During the expedition, students tackled navigation tasks, set up camp, cooked meals outdoors, and carried all necessary equipment—gaining valuable hands-on experience. The journey tested both physical and mental endurance, but every participant rose to the occasion, demonstrating the key skills needed for success in their upcoming assessed expedition.
The practice expedition was not only a chance to refine map- reading and teamwork abilities but also a great opportunity for students to grow in confidence and independence. Staff commended the group’s positive attitude, strong work ethic, and support for one another throughout the experience.
All 73 students should be incredibly proud of their efforts. Their hard work has prepared them well for the final challenge ahead on the 16th–17th of July, and we look forward to seeing them put their skills into action once again.
