- Year 12 Students Complete Hounslow&rsquo...
A group of Year 12 students completed their Hounslow’s Promise Young Leaders programme this term. Throughout the year, these students have been involved in workshops including CV writing, interview skills, presentations and confidence building, in order to encourage them to consider positions of leadership in the future.
They also visited the Old Bailey and Parliament for networking events, meeting a range of people who worked in both institutions and hearing from MPs, judges, civil servants and others about what the world of politics and the judiciary is like. The support of Seema Malhotra, MP, throughout the programme was a brilliant chance for students to feel more connected to their political representatives and to feel valued by our wider community.
Students participated with full enthusiasm in all aspects of the programme, and have learnt a huge amount. We were hugely grateful to the Hounslow’s Promise charity for running the programme to support our students, and have enjoyed building up a relationship with the charity this year. We look forward to running the programme again next year for students in the incoming Year 12.
