Google Classroom is the cloud based platform in which school work, homework and resources can be accessed. Google Classroom is the platform that Chiswick School will be using to ensure homework is set and the Guardian notifications will ensure all parents/carers are kept aware of all progress. Teachers can use it to set homework quickly and ensure the learners and parents always have the information they need about homework available via the Web, Mobile and Tablet devices

Google Classroom Guardian Email Summaries

What’s included in an email summary?

  • Missing work—Work not turned in when the summary was sent.
  • Upcoming work—Work that’s due today and tomorrow (for daily emails) or that’s due in the upcoming week (for weekly emails).
  • Class activity—Announcements, assignments, and questions recently posted by teachers.
  • Guardians can get emails daily or weekly and can unsubscribe at any time.

Homework and resources can be accessed by students and parents/carers by going to https://classroom.google.com and logging in using your child's google email address and password. You can also view your child’s full timetable by going to https://calendar.google.com and logging in with your child’s google email address and password.

We hope that this service will provide parents with a deeper insight into the homework your child receives. More importantly, we hope that it will improve your child’s organisation, time-management, and help them to keep on top of their workload.

Please note that we use Google Classroom to publish homework tasks to students. Teachers use google classroom features and internal systems to mark, record and monitor homework. Consequently, it is very important that students are completing all the work set on google classroom promptly.

If you or your child is unable to login to their Google account, please email enquires@chiswickschool.org

If your child is having technical problems with any of the Google services they should visit IT Services at first break for further assistance.
