Year 12 History trip to the National Archives
Year 12 History students had a fantastic afternoon at the National Archives, attending a workshop about the suffragettes. They relished the opportunity to investigate original documents in order to find out more about the campaign for the women’s vote, and loved finding out more about the Archive itself and some of the treasures stored there… Students were so enthused, several have made plans to return to see other original documents! Their teachers were hugely impressed to hear their perceptive and insightful thoughts about the historical research they were doing and the women’s movement itself. This was a brilliant springboard for their A Level coursework!
