On Tuesday 1st March, the much anticipated Jack Petchey Regional Final was held at the Green School for Girls. The quality and content of the speeches this year was outstanding with topics spanning the issues of today's young generation including race and gender inequality, mental health, surveillance and politics. Despite the high calibre of candidates from Hounslow, Chiswick School's Aaliyah, Year 10, came in second place out of fourteen with her incredibly moving speech, 'Glass Child', raising awareness for children with disabled siblings. It was a memorable and thought- provoking evening and a reminder of the importance of listening to the voices of our amazing students.
