Spring Enrichment Programme
The Spring Enrichment Programme has been updated and is on the website. You will notice a wide array of clubs for this term. Pupils are encouraged to sign up to as many clubs as they want. Remember they are free* and run by school staff or external providers. There really is a huge choice.
Some of the clubs remain the same but you may be interested in some new clubs:
Following the success of our STEAM day where students designed a new app with the support of staff members from Novartis UK, we have launched a Design Club. Students will now have the opportunity to put their skills into action. Design Club is delivered by a designer who supports students to look at the design process and then prototype an app. There are a series of design tasks that students work through. Spaces are limited to 12 students maximum. There are still a few spaces left so please see Mrs Robjant if you are interested.
Before Christmas, students were invited to bake some Christmas delights. The success of this club and the interest shown has meant that Mrs Simmons is starting a Food Club this term. If you are interested in developing your cooking skills, love cooking or are generally a ‘foodie’ then this club is for you. Please see Mrs Simmons for more information.
Have a love of sport? Interested in working in the media? Then this club is for you. Join this club to write articles for the school newsletter, Twitter feed and website. You will be supported along the way by The Guardian's Richard Foster, well-known football writer and author of Premier League Nuggets.

If you are in Year 10 and have signed up to the DofE award then make sure you know about your training schedule. Students will be expected to attend training once a fortnight on areas such as First Aid, navigation, route planning, cooking on trangias and putting up tents. Please see Ms Young if you need more information.
*There is a small fee for rowing. Please speak to the PE Department if you are interested.
