The 'Box Clever' theatre company made their second visit to Chiswick just before half term. In Year 8 the pupils watched ‘The Hate Play’ and now in year 9 they were fortunate to watch the sequel ‘Sweet’.

The play excited the pupils from the off. It was an energetic, thought-provoking performance which incorporated many relevant themes. It challenged the pupils to think about their own pathways and the choices they make in life.

'The Hate Play’s' main focus was bullying whilst 'Sweet' focuses on Tanya, the main character, trying to move on from this with help from her boyfriend and brother but it is a difficult journey she goes on.

Chiswick students thoroughly enjoyed the performance and relished the chance to be actively involved in the play.
