Who are Old Meadonians Football Club?

Founded in 1929 we are the football club formed by the past pupils of Chiswick School.
Our first match was played against the school team on 29th November 1929.
The name originates for the early name of the school – ‘The School in the Meadows’.
How many teams do we run?
We are the largest club in the Amateur Football Combination (the largest league in Europe – 100 clubs, 300+ teams). We have 9 league sides plus a Veterans side (over 40s) who play in the West London Vets league.
Are we successful?
We are one of the most successful teams in amateur football. Our first team have won the AFC Premier Division eight times in the last 11 years and all of our teams have tasted league and cup glory in recent times.
Where do we play?
Riverside Lands, Chiswick, not far from the school.
We have a 20 year management agreement with Hounslow Borough to manage and maintain our 9 adult pitches and one junior pitch. Chiswick School use the Riverside Lands pitches.
We have our own changing rooms and clubhouse at Chiswick Boathouse.
What is our standard?
Whilst our 1st team are a notch below semi-professional level, we are a mixed ability club who can provide a level of football for most players where an emphasis is also placed on a friendly, social environment. Some Meads players have progressed, however, into the professional ranks.
