Safer Internet Day 2012
Tuesday 7th February 2012 - Safer Internet Day (SID)
We will be hosting the Parents’ and Carers’ Guide to the Internet, ready to broadcast anywhere from schools and offices, to phones and homes... This will be a short TV-style programme which you can download or stream from the Thinkuknow site. The programme will be an entertaining and light-hearted look at what it’s like to bring up children in the online world – featuring clips and tips from some surprising sources!
The Parents' and Carers' Guide to the Internet - this will be streamed live on the Thinkuknow Parents and Carers site from 7th February.
We would like to encourage parents and carers to watch the programme from the comfort of your own homes by signposting the website https://www.thinkuknow.co.uk/Parents/ and sharing the event trailer online.
Keeping Up with the Joneses - a short trailer that aims to get parents and carers thinking about what their children are up to online and how they can get involved. We want this to go to as many parents and carers in the UK as possible. This will be released on 30th January.
You can get involved with the event by interacting directly with the CEOP team on 7th February from 6 - 9pm. View the Guide and then tell CEOP about the challenges families face as their children grow up online by posting on the ClickCEOP Facebook fan page, contacting us on Twitter @ceopuk or by tweeting #parentsguide.
