Re End of Term
On June 26th four days of enrichment activities will be taking place. Unfortunately German students will not be able to take part in the first two days if they are retaking their examinations. Tuesday 26th June will be a revision day at home and on Wednesday 27th they will take their last two German GCSE examinations.
On July 2nd the new year 11 timetable starts. On Friday 6th July there will be a work experience preparation day, followed by a week’s work experience and an evaluation day on Monday 16th July. The above activities and the WEX factor programme to date will enable your child to gain a level 2 GCSE equivalent qualification in employment skills. The year 11 timetable then continues till the end of term,
For Parents of students on Chertsey Pathway
I am sure that it has come to your attention when you received your child’s exam timetable that the next few weeks are a pressured time for year 10 Chertsey students. We want to do everything possible to give the students time to revise properly for their public exams and complete any controlled assessments which count towards GCSEs taken in year 11.
First I have asked Curriculum Leaders to ensure that no homework is set unless it is directly relevant to a controlled assessment, modular examination, practical examination or final examination.
Second, students will be finishing French and Arts exams during the week beginning May 14th, but their exams in other subjects will finish on June 25th and in the case of German June 27th. We have therefore put in place a revision programme as follows in the lessons where examinations will have been completed:-
Monday 21st May
Lesson 3 French Supervised revision in other subjects
Lesson 5 Drama and Music students have private study at home
Tuesday 22nd May
Lesson 3 and 4 Arts Activities in Arts Groups
Lesson 5 French students have private study at home.
Monday 25th May
Lesson 5 French students have private study at home
Tuesday 26th May
Lessons 1 and 2 Art, Drama, and Music students have private study at home
Lesson 4 French Supervised revision in other subjects
Thursday 28th May
Lesson 3 French Supervised revision in other subjects
Monday 11th June
Lesson 3 French Supervised revision in other subjects
Lesson 5 Art, Drama and Music students have private study at home
Tuesday 12th June
Lesson 3 and 4 Arts Revision activities in other subjects
Lesson 5 French students have private study at home.
Monday 18th June
Lesson 5 French students have private study at home
Tuesday 19th June
