Year 10 Animals Support Evie in Marathon Run
Posted: 19/04/12
The last day of term gave students a rare chance to wear their own clothes for the day in exchange for £1. Mufti days are always fun,
but this time there was an important reason behind the fundraising. Evie Rothwell-Douglas, in Sixth Form, will be running the London Marathon this year and the money raised from Friday’s mufti day will go towards sponsoring her in the incredible challenge she has taken on. Most students chose to come in jeans or other everyday clothes; however some Year 10s chose to dress up as animals for the day. These included a lion, a monkey, a tiger, a zebra and even a dinosaur! Needless to say, it surprised a few teachers around the school to see their pupils in face-paint and one-piece animal outfits. The whole day was very enjoyable and we wish Evie luck in her upcoming marathon.
