Beth Morgan, England test cricket batter, coaches Chiswick girl cricketers every other week in the finer points of the game. With a top
best score of 77 against New Zealand, Beth is a member of a squad which is number one in the world on a par with the men’s. Introduced to Chiswick by our own Ms. Bland and working as part of the ‘Chance to Shine’ scheme, Beth was very impressed by the tandard of cricket in Chiswick. ‘You have some very talented and enthusiastic girls here and it is great that they compete at under 13 and under 15 level’. The girls practised bowling, batting and fielding and also played a game.
‘I really enjoy cricket because it is so active', enthused Kensie Werndley 7KE. ‘I have played in the team ‘, said Jocelyn Hildeland, 8CH, ‘and I enjoy coming with a friend and learning how to play better.’
