Chiswick School Win Poetry Prize!
Chiswick School entered the Young People’s Poetry Competition, which is part of Chiswick Book Festival, and three of our year 7 students won a prize for their poems: Grant A, Autumn A and Mark S were all praised for their entries and Mark won first prize for his poem entitled Help! I’m Trapped in This Poem! The feedback from the judges was full of praise: ‘The judges very much enjoyed reading all the poems and had a really hard job picking winners.’ With this in mind, we were delighted when they announced that three of our students will be receiving a prize at the prize-giving ceremony.
This is an outstanding achievement for these students and we have all been invited to the prize-giving ceremony on Friday 13th September 2019. The Chiswick Book Festival runs from 12th to 16th September 2019 and there are lots of exciting events for children and adults; the programme of events can be found on this link http://www.chiswickbookfestival.net
