Annual PTA Quiz Night

A very enjoyable evening was had at the Annual PTA Quiz Night, in the School Canteen on 9 May with teams of parents and teachers answering questions set, once more, by Clare Grist Taylor & Don Taylor. During the evening rounds included general knowledge, identifying cross-sections of various chocolate bars, name that tune, working out famous landmarks from close-up cross-sections and they even braved including a round on Brexit! Not forgetting the "Are you cleverer than a Chiswick student round"…..GCSE maths anyone?!

Brains were kept well lubricated thanks to the efforts of Julian Hull and John Vaygelt running the bar. Nibbles and desserts were provided by the PTA and everyone brought dishes to share to give the brains a rest during the interval.

It was a really fun evening raising funds for the PTA which are spent in the school on initiatives which enhance the school experience for all children.

Organising the quiz is a real team effort and mention should go to the Caretaking team who set up the canteen, the IT department for making all the sound and images work and Reprographics for the printing. Extra special thanks this year to both Clare & Don for running their final quiz and Julian on the bar - a winning team for more than a decade! And many thanks to the group of 6th formers who came along to help set-up and had the tough job of getting teams to hand in their answer sheets!
