DRIVEN Learning Conference

On Thursday 25th April we hosted our first DRIVEN Learner Conference. This conference series aims to support our students by giving them opportunities to come together as a group and work on selected themes beyond the curriculum; Thursday's conference was for Years 7 and 8.

The day started in the hall with all student together where they listened to two engaging talks: Mervyn Mensah spoke to them about 'How to be Motivated and Resilient' followed by a talk from Richard Foster and Andrew Wooton about 'How to write Beautifully'.

In the afternoon the groups split with Year 8s attending the National Archives to learn lessons from the past with a workshop on the Holocaust. Meanwhile, Year 7 attended the London Wetland Centre to learn about scientific enquiry through pond dipping and analysing invertebrates.
